OU Texas Weekend 2008 - and the girls playing Guitar Hero

We made our annual pilgrimage to Dallas for the OU/TX game and while the scoreboard got the winner wrong we still had a great time. Here is Susan with Adrianne and Leslie in front of the College Gameday set before the game - which of course you could already tell as they are still smiling.

Here is our view of the opening kickoff - Mike and AD are those tiny specks of red and white in the top left corner. The new upper deck was done well - at least by cotton bowl standards. Let's hope the Sooners can cover this kickoff.

This pic was taken after this afternoon. Katy is rocking out on medium, and while Allison isn't too good at actually playing the game, her "Rock 'N Roll Carol" persona is destined for superstardom.

Transformers - The Movie!

Robots in disguise...

Okay so we have a few kinks to work out and it takes her just a little bit longer to tranform than Optimus but we are getting there - sorry for the poor video quality...

Halloween Costumes - Work in Progress - Part 2

Okay so worked forever on her helmet and I've painted Optimus Prime's body and legs (her shoes are missing):

And added some details to Wall-E:

Coming soon a Transformer Demonstration...

Halloween Costumes 2008 - Works in Progress - and some old Halloween costumes...

After considering many options for the girls costumes this year - the girls have settled on Wall-E for Allison and Optimus Prime (The old-school Transformer) for Katy - I'm custom making them to better fit the budget and let's face it I'm just a crafty kinda guy...

First here is Allison's Wall-E costume early on - it was actually almost done here it just needs some details

Next here is an early rendition of Optimus Prime - you can see this one is going to be a little more challenging...
Also - I decided to go back and throw up some pictures of our previous Halloween costumes...
In 2005 Katy was a pirate - Allison was Gus-Gus from Cinderella but we can't find a picture:

In 2006, Katy and Allison were Lilo and Stich and I was Mr. Incredible (the date in the photo is wrong):

Finally last year we were the Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs:

Katy and Allison's Big Movie Premiere

It's been a while since we've updated so here's the first of a few posts about what we've been up to for the last few weeks...

Katy and Allison starred in their second major motion picture. Their first release a fresh take on the disney classic Peter Pan was low budget and was panned by the critics. This latest release "Solar Sara and Cosmic Carol and the Planet of the Angry Aliens" had a much longer title and had a big Koch house premiere. Below are some photos of the two stars signing autographs before a special private showing of their film with Mommy. Because Daddy makes a brief but embarrassing appearance in this film it is opening to a very, very limited release. I wouldn't bother trying to find it anywhere.

Katy was dressed for the part...

Whereas Allison was simply dressed...

Mommy loved the film.

Last Day at the Pool & First Day at School

Mommy took the girls to the pool on their last day of summer...

Katy kicking back during swimming lessons -

Allison finally went on the yellow slide with someone other than her Mom or Dad - this is her swim teacher - she still wouldn't do it by herself but we felt like this was progress...

Here are the girls this morning - getting in the car for their first day of school. They had each picked out their outfits two days in advance - Katy said last night was just like Christmas eve (she was excited) Allison prayed at dinner for her not to be nervous...

Allison was the second one at her school this morning and got to hold the class sign...

Katy in front of her teacher's door...

Bicycle Race, Bicycle Race, Bicycle....Race!

In the last two weeks the girls have developed some mad bicycle skills, first Katy decided she didn't want her training wheels and after struggling her first time in Oklahoma she mastered the bike on her vacation to California. Here she is showing off...

Not to be outdone (and I think Jealous of her big sister's achievement) Allison asked me to remove the two back wheels of her tricycle so that she could ride it with just one wheel. After we explained that those weren't training wheels we went out and got her a sweet new ride:

Here they are this was our third night in a row of bicycling - which is good as Katy was turning into a guitar hero hermit. More to come...

Grand Re-Opening

Hello All,
After reconsidering chunking this blog and then starting a new one, I've decided to just keep it. So I'll try to post some pictures from this summer, our trip to Disney, the girls trip to California and just regular updates for anyone who wants to see them. Sorry for the months of dead time. Thanks for hanging with us.
